tHERE IS A CUSTOM CALLED "KARWA-CHAUTH"
This festival or custom is in November or late October every year.Women fast for their lovers and husbands all day.In the evening they dress-up beautifully and wait for the moon. Then she looks first at the moon and second at their husband who in turn breaks her fast by giving her water with a brass pot held with both his hands.
This is believed to help him to have a long and prosperous life.
This is originally a punjabi custom but now spreading to the whole country.
