VARANASI is flooded with people wearing orange during the month of july and august.This is the month of "SAAWAN" It is usually from the 19th of July which is Guru-purnima to the 18th of August.The mondays of this month have special religious value, Many Hindu people stop eating meat and eggs during Saawan.
People from all over the country go to Dev-Ghar in Bihar carrying holy water which must not touch the ground.Many go walking all the way.
